The author states his position regarding the end of life at the very beginning of the book. He is a single concept and death means all life is dumed to his own beliefs.

Amazing book, I own a physical copy and just finished it. If you enjoy Quantum Physics and Cosmology and can actually think about things on a scale equal to these subjects you will love this book. It is written in a very approachable manner and manages to be pretty fun at time, especially with the personal stories. Check it out!

Insightful and well articulated views of the universe trying hard for an objective and relatable perspective on human experience in it. A very good read.
About the author
BRIAN GREENE is a professor of physics and mathematics and director of Columbia University's Center for Theoretical Physics and is renowned for his groundbreaking discoveries in superstring theory. He is the author of The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of the Cosmos, and The Hidden Reality, which have collectively spent sixty-five weeks on The New York Times best-seller list and sold more than two million copies worldwide, and he has hosted two Peabody and Emmy Award winning NOVA miniseries based on his books. With producer Tracy Day, Greene cofounded the World Science Festival. He lives in New York.
