Hi, I have a gen 3 Nest Thermostat, working for past 18months. Today I change my home router and initially the nest came up with a Wifi error, but before I could get to it and enter the new settings, it changed the error to a no power message, H72.
Two points, the first is I never touched it and secondly, the power is good (Have tried a few cables, charger and battery).
So the nest has gone offline, with no apparent way to connect it. The only option I can select is Tech Info, which all appear to be read-only options. In this menu it reports Vin and Vusb to be zero and Battery to be 3.690.
With no options available and no way to enter new Wifi details, I tried long holding the cover for 30 seconds in the pressed position.
The Thermostat then said, it need to turn off to restart the battery. then "The thermostat is restarting. Back in a bit", then nothing even 10mintes later.
Have I bricked my nest by changing my router?
Additional information. Not sure if this is relevant, but this device has never really worked. I have posted before that the connection between the Nest and the cloud only sometimes works. However, this is the same experience my work colleagues have and I suspect it is just not a good design.

Detached it from docking station and rebooted.
It has now given me a Wifi menu, I entered the new pin and it works.
It seems absurd that I would have to do this when changing router, however, problem sorted.

Hi Andrewk,
Thanks for reaching out. Nest Learning Thermostat would not connect to your network if it's having power issues and if it has below 3.7 battery level. I suggest charging it with a micro USB cable for an hour.
Thanks,
Jenelyn
